We are organizing a memorial symposium in honor of our colleague Bernard Coqblin, who passed away on 29 May 2012. The symposium will be held on 5 and 6 September 2013 at the Laboratoire de Physique des Solides (LPS) on the Orsay campus of University Paris-Sud. The meeting will focus on the physics of strongly correlated electron systems and is entitled « Explorations and insights into the world of correlated electrons in solids ». The conference program, to be announced shortly, will cover topics in a wide range from Kondo systems, frustrated magnetic phases, magnetic oxides, actinides, thermoelectric properties, etc. The concluding session on Friday will be a round table in which participants are welcome to share their memories of Bernard.
